New Brands, New Products, This Is What I Think......
So I recently came across 'Beauty Bay' an online beauty store if you haven't heard of it or visited the website and you are a huge makeup/beauty/skincare/haircare fan then after you have read this blog post go their you won't be disappointed!!
So when I found Beauty Bay they had this amazing offer which I tried to resist but just couldn't and thought I would treat myself and call it an early Christmas present....
The offer was spend £120 or more and you got an absolutely amazing FREEBIE of a beautiful Rose Gold Makeup Bag crammed full of £135 worth of products!!
So I have tried and tested some of the skincare products which came in this amazing bundle and here I will share my honest reviews.
So first up Dr.Lipp Nipple Balm for Lips.....Yes the first thing what I noticed was nipple and though 'huh' LOL.
This comes in this lovely box and a good size tube at 15ml.
It can be used for a multitude of things some of which include > Lip Balm, Cheek Shine, Dry Skin, Mix with Pigments, Mix with Glitter, Brow Hair Tamer, Nail Care on Cuticles.
When I first opened it it was a little hard to come out of the tube as it is wax based and 100% natural it needed a bit of warming up (in my hands) then a squeeze and just a small amount goes a long way.
Now I have only used this on my lips as I suffer through the winter months with chapped/dry lips and it feels lush, no nasty taste, lightweight and lasts a good while and it's a fabulous lip primer before applying your lip colour.
I also used it on my brows and just a tiny dot tames them hairs and keeps them in place all day!
This is £12.00
Next product is from 'First Aid Beauty' A pure skin face cleanser with fab antioxidant booster!
I have used this every night for the past week and a bit, it removes makeup easily, it has a light creamy texture so only a small amount is needed.
It has a light fragrance nothing heady and makes your skin feel fabulous, clean and fresh.
It doesn't or it doesn't in my case remove mascara 100% but I would say 90%.
Massage into wet skin, easily washes off and dab your skin dry.
This comes in 140g for £11.25 or 226g for £16.50.
Next up is 'ALPHAH' Balancing Moisturiser and Gentle Exfoliant.
I ran out of my younique Daily Divine Moisturiser not long ago which by the way I absolutely love, I purchased it in July and I finished it in November and it was used twice daily!
But with getting this in the bundle I thought I will use this now.
It is lovely, lightweight, non greasy and it makes my skin tingle (in a good way).
A small amount is needed and it makes my skin feel fresh and alive!
For a 50ml tube it is £37.00
For a 50ml tube of younique Daily Divine it is £30.00
Another good timing product I was using younique's Rose Water Toning Spray but ran out and once again I love that product it can be used for a multitude of things and can be used on all the family!
So this little beauty was in the bag 'Mario Badescu' Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs and Rose Water.
It differs from younique's as it has the extra ingredients however it feels the same when sprayed on and I have not noticed any great difference in appearance just yet.
It refreshes the skin whilst boosting hydration and relieving dehydrated tight complexions.
It can also be used as a makeup setting spray and used on dry hair just like younique's.
A 4oz bottle is £7.50
A 8oz bottle is £11.00
Younique's is a 40ml bottle for £23.00
This product I don't think I have ever used a Botanical Milk before so a nice newbie for me.
'ANNE SEMONIN' Botanical Milk - Cleanser - Makeup Remover.
This is a really light cleanser, fragrance free, and does remove makeup.
I haven't tried removing my face makeup with it just yet i.e foundation/powder/blusher etc but I have been using on my eyes to remove the last stubborn mascara.
A tiny amount (and I mean tiny) is applied to a lint free pad and gently swiped over the eyes.
Removes makeup/mascara easily and no stinging to the eyes making eyes feel fresh.
A 200ml bottle is £33.00
A face mask to try next which is good as it is a different type of mask to my current one younique's Bamboo Charcoal Detoxifying Mask which may I add you need in your life it is simply amazing! Don't go buying them cheap goodness knows what's in them blackhead masks which stick to your skin like super glue and hurt like hell when being removed AND if you wrongly apply it over your eyebrows (like I have seen some people do) and you end up giving yourself a home brow wax ouch!
Younique's you apply to damp skin, it gently fizzes and bubbles on your skin reoxygenating the skin and can be easily and safely washed off after just 5-10 minutes leaving your skin refreshed.
Anyway back to this face mask by 'OSKIA LONDON' - Renaissance Mask.
A mask designed to increase cell turnover and boost radiance, it is packed with OskiaE's signature blend of beauty boosting nutrients including MSM (Organic Sulphur), Vitamins and Minerals to increase cellular efficiency for a more youthful appearance.
It is light textured, lightly fragranced and goes on peachy/pink and once massaged into the skin it turns white helping you to know it has been applied efficiently.
I like this mask and I think using both through the week will be a real benefit to your skin.
Treat yourself, Pamper Yourself, Invest In Your Skin, It's Yours For Life!
A 50ml tub is £49.50
Younique's Bamboo Charcoal Detoxifying Mask is 50ml for £38.00
So there you go some tried and tested (and still being used) products I received from my Beauty Bay Haul.
I shall continue to use the products and if anything changes I shall edit the blog to inform you but so far so good.
If you didn't know I am a younique Yellow Status Presenter and I am utterly proud to be one and to be working alongside such an incredible company.
BUT
I am also a makeup/skincare/nail addict and I like to try different website shops and brands.
In some cases I find younique's to be better or of same quality but don't start thinking she is biased and will always choose younique over everyone else as that is not true as I have recently tried a brand of Matte Liquid Lipstick which I favour much more than our own range of Splash Liquid Lipsticks!
More about that on my next Blog Post.....
